We ride light, stay flexible, and keep things practical. Nicaragua is hot, wild, dusty, muddy, and beautiful — so bring what you need, but don’t overpack.

Riding Gear

Please bring any riding gear you already have and feel comfortable in.

Recommended:

Helmet
Riding gloves
Riding boots or strong ankle-support boots
Riding trousers or durable long trousers
Riding jersey / long-sleeve shirt
Goggles or sunglasses
Lightweight rain jacket

Most important: good footwear. The trails can be rocky, muddy, wet, and uneven, so proper boots make a big difference.

If you don’t have full moto gear, let us know before the trip so we can see what we can help provide.

Clothes & Personal Items

Pack light and practical. You’ll want comfortable clothes for the evenings, swimming, and relaxing after the ride.

Bring:

2–4 lightweight T-shirts
1–2 pairs of shorts
Swim shorts / bikini / swimsuit
Underwear and socks
Flip-flops or sandals
Hat or cap
Sunglasses
Small towel if you prefer your own

Essentials

Passport
Valid driver’s licence
Travel insurance details
Phone and charger
Power bank
Sunscreen
Insect repellent
Reusable water bottle
Any personal medication
Basic toiletries
Small amount of cash in USD or córdobas

Most places accept cash more easily than card, especially once we’re away from the bigger towns.

For the Ride

You’ll only need to carry day essentials while riding.

Your main luggage will either be transported separately or kept at the accommodation depending on the trip setup.

What to Expect From the Tour

This is a real adventure ride through Nicaragua — not a polished resort excursion. Expect beautiful landscapes, dirt roads, river crossings, jungle trails, volcano views, remote villages, beaches, and a few unpredictable moments along the way.

The Riding

The terrain can include:

We ride at a safe, enjoyable pace. This is not a race. The goal is to explore, enjoy the route, and keep the group together.

Weather & Conditions

Nicaragua is hot and tropical. Depending on the season, you can expect:

Strong sun
Dust
Humidity
Rain showers
Mud
Wet boots
Sweaty riding gear
Big smiles at the end of the day

You may get dirty. You may get wet. That’s part of the trip.

Fitness & Experience

You don’t need to be a professional rider, but you should be comfortable riding a motorcycle and have some confidence on uneven terrain.

Some sections may feel challenging, but the route can be adjusted depending on the group’s level. We keep things flexible and ride with the conditions.

Accommodation & Food

Accommodation is comfortable, local, and chosen to match the adventure — beach stays, volcano views, lakeside spots, and relaxed Nicaraguan guesthouses or hotels.

Breakfast is usually included where stated. Lunch and dinner are often at local restaurants, roadside stops, beach cafés, or wherever makes sense on the route.

Expect good food, cold drinks, and plenty of local flavour.

Luggage

Pack light. On multi-day trips, we aim to keep the bikes light and easy to ride.

Depending on the trip, your main luggage may be transported separately or sent to the final destination, while you carry only essentials for the riding days.

You’ll be told the exact luggage setup before your trip.
